Management and Staff of Hudson Haven B&B welcome you. For the safety and comfort of all our guests, please take note of the following:

  • Admission: We reserve the right of admission to these premises. Entry is at the sole discretion of Management.

  • Conduct: We maintain a peaceful and family-friendly environment. Any guest or visitor who displays aggressive, intoxicated, or disrespectful behaviour will be asked to leave immediately.

  • Compliance: All guests are required to comply with the House Rules and the POPI Act registration protocols upon check-in.

  • Liability: Entry to these premises is at your own risk. The Owners, Management, and Staff shall not be held liable for any loss, damage, or injury sustained by any person while on the property.

  • Prohibited Items: No illegal substances or unauthorised firearms are permitted on the premises.

At Hudson Haven B&B, we are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring that your personal information is handled in a secure and responsible manner, in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) of South Africa.

1. What Information We Collect - We collect personal information necessary for your stay, including your full name, identity or passport number, contact details, vehicle registration, and payment information.

2. Why We Collect It - Your information is processed for the following purposes:

  • To manage your booking and provide hospitality services.

  • To comply with South African legal requirements regarding guest registers (e.g., the Immigration Act).

  • To ensure the safety and security of all guests and staff on our premises.

  • To process payments and tax invoices.

3. Data Security & Storage - We take all reasonable technical and organisational steps to ensure your data is kept secure. Access to your information is restricted to authorised staff only. Please note that our staff may use mobile devices for official communication (WhatsApp/Calls) to assist you during your stay; these devices are subject to strict internal privacy policies.

4. Your Rights - You have the right to access, update, or request the deletion of your personal information, subject to legal record-keeping requirements.

Consent - By completing our registration form, you voluntarily provide your information to Hudson Haven B&B and consent to its processing for the purposes mentioned above.

Hudson Haven's Terms & Conditions

By staying at Hudson Haven, you agree to adhere to the following rules. Failure to comply may result in immediate eviction without refund and/or additional financial penalties.

 

  1. ARRIVAL, DEPARTURE & OCCUPANCY
  • Check-In/Out: Check-in begins at 14:00. Check-out is strictly by 11:00. Late check-outs may incur an additional fee unless prior arrangements are made.
  • Occupancy Limits: Single Room: Maximum of 2 guests.
    • Family Room: Maximum of 2 adults and 2 children.
  • Registered Guests Only: Only guests listed on the original booking are permitted on the premises. No visitors or overnight stays are allowed. Unauthorised guests will result in an immediate surcharge or termination of the stay.
  1. GENERAL CONDUCT & NOISE
  • Quiet Hours: To ensure the comfort of all guests and neighbours, no loud music or excessive noise is permitted at any time. This includes the lobby, parking lot, and outdoor areas.
  • Events: Parties and large gatherings are strictly prohibited unless the property has been reserved as a full “Group Booking.”
  • Respectful Environment: Guests must treat staff, other residents, and the property with respect. Harassment, fighting, or “play-fighting” is grounds for immediate eviction.
  1. HEALTH, SAFETY & PROHIBITED ITEMS
  • Smoking Policy: This is a 100% Smoke-Free indoor facility. Smoking inside rooms or common indoor areas is strictly prohibited. A R3,000 deep-cleaning fine will be charged to any guest who violates this policy.
  • Weapons: The possession or use of firearms, ammunition, or any weapons on the premises is strictly forbidden.
  • Children: Children must be under the active supervision of an adult at all times, particularly in common areas and near the pool.
  1. POOL & OUTDOOR AREA
  • Safety: No glassware or bottles are permitted in the pool area.
  • Etiquette: Appropriate swimwear is required at all times. Nudity is strictly prohibited.
  1. PETS, WI-FI & SERVICES
  • Pet Policy: Pets are welcome by prior arrangement. A fee of R200 per pet, per night applies. Owners are responsible for any cleaning or damage caused by their pets.
  • Breakfast: Served daily from 07:00 to 10:00.
  • Wi-Fi & Connectivity: Access credentials will be provided upon check-in. Complimentary Wi-Fi is provided for standard personal and professional use (e.g., browsing, streaming, and remote work). However, the use of the network for illegal activities, hosting servers, or mass data-heavy activities (such as torrenting) is strictly prohibited. We reserve the right to disconnect any device found to be compromising the network’s stability or security for other guests.
  1. DAMAGES & CLEANLINESS
  • Liability: Guests are responsible for keeping their rooms and common areas tidy.
  • Breakages: The guest of record is legally liable for the cost of repairing or replacing any property damage caused by the guest, their event or their invitees (including their spouse, children, or pets) during their stay.
